Lin- We have two blonde that look like the blonde lab, two brown that look like the brown boxer that came from God knows where, one blackish/brown that looks so much like Shadow that it's impossible to tell...then there's the solid white and I'm unable to even throw a guess out there as to where she came from. The "crazy fruit tree people" have a black and white (mostly white) Jack Russell... Who knows, that pup's mug suspiciously resembles Magellan's baby photos.
lin- I can't stop myself! I think maybe I need help, this is all I've done with my day and just realized it's New Years Eve (when someone called to see if I was ready to go out and my hair looks worse than poor Shadow's). lol
You're killin' me here! I'd love to have one but how would you pick one--they're all so cute! The Jack Russell sounds interesting. (Crazy fruit tree people? I think you forgot to tell us about that!) I have to look away! sigh
And I hate to pee in your cornflakes but I see the other side of finding puppies homes in my "other" job as a rescue coordinator for the OES (Sheepdog).
Puppies are cute and furry and will get politicians elected to office BUT; there is a huge responsibility that comes with a puppy. Please tell me you are going to thoroughly checkout the people adopting these cute little innocent babies.
I've had some heartbreaking experiences with rescue. Buck came to us heartworm positive, a broken front leg that the bones had mended backwards with severe trust issues (exhibited by biting) scared to death and we helped him mend, by pouring our hearts into him. Puppies are cute but they chew things and pee and poop and need lots and lots of exercise. It's a huge commitment that most people fail to fully realize.

That's really cool, Stew. No worries. Here is a good example where these types of animals go once they've been rescued. This is how we came to be Shadows owners, by the time she was all better after being thrown over a bridge and left for dead...I couldn't let her go. Then, they're fattened, prettied up and readied to become some worthy individual's pet. So yeah, I know lots about the chewing things, pee, poo exercise and checking out prospects. lol We let the other organizations do that for us for the most part, though. We either know them personally or others with way more time on their hands checked them out and sent them to us.
Hope you have a Happy New Year as well and thanks for the link! :)
Lin- Either way, her playah days are over asap! ;)
And yes, she was put in a sack (along with her brother), thrown over a bridge into a lake, fished out by a fisherman who happened to see it, who called a vet who then called and asked me to take them in. Cockapoos are not cheap either, even though not recognised by the AKC, and there was nothing wrong with either, other than pneumonia- related to being thrown over. I'll say this though...there were more fleas and ticks on the two of them than I would have imagined could even fit on their tiny bodies. It is impossible to understand...

Sweet! And what a variety of colors?
Sorry, I guess the question mark came from wondering if there was more than one father! Should we get in touch with Maury?

RT- Thanks..and I'd LOVE to give you one (or two) too. ;)
Stop posting pics---you're making me want a puppy!!
For a dog who was suppose to be sterile, she sure got around! heh

Happy New Year!
They are just too cute for words. I can't wait to see what they look like with their eyes open. How's Shadow liking motherhood?
Happy New Year! :)
They are all kinds of cute.

Here's a clicky link to Stew's tribute for Buck (for the lazy). Too sweet for words!
Too sweet! And Happy New Year!
Awwwww!
Congrats on your new pups!
Not saying Shadow is a ho--we know the males were players! heh
Somebody threw her off a bridge?! It's hard to understand where some people's heads are, ya know?
